Magic - A Mentalist Effect


Mentalist first writes down a prediction on a pad or blackboard which is on the stage. 
This prediction is covered, so it can not be seen. 
He then writes the letters M A G I C one below the other so that when he places the corresponding numbers alongside of it, they will form a column, which may be added and thereby arrive at a total.  The total is equal to the prediction. 

Five MAGIC cards are handed out to five spectators.  The sixth card remains with you.
Any card holder may call out any letter and its corresponding number.  
This number is placed alongside the letter.  

Next, another spectator calls out any other letter (not already called out) and its corresponding number.  This too is recorded the same way and so on until all the letters and numbers have been called.  

When all the numbers have been totaled, the result will match the prediction.
